「潮州魚蛋粉」仲記得細細個婆婆媽媽成日帶我去銅鑼灣謝斐道一間潮州粉麵店,每張枱面都會預備一樽「潮州辣椒油」。而我好喜歡蝦米嘅味道,自家製嘅產品,梗係要有少少改良成為「自家味道」。

呢個就係「蝦米蒜頭辣椒油

 

家庭成長背景嘅原因,婆婆生於湖南,上海長大,所以婆婆嘅家常菜永遠都係圍繞着上海味道。

雲吞、年糕、上海湯麵、中中嘅菜式配合辣椒油,真係好味到飛起。

鎮江醋、辣椒油和麻油,呢三個係好朋友。呢個味道,好上海呢!

 

又潮州又上海,往往人生就係咁樣。穿州過省,累積回憶!呢個就係「成長過程」。

 

[Chiu Chow Fishball Noodle Soup] I still remember when I was little, my mom and grandma always brings me to this restaurant in Causeway Bay on Jaffe street. Each table in the restaurant has a bottle of the amazing [chili oil], and as for myself, I also like the flavour of the dried shrimps. So when I wanted to recreate the chili oil all by myself, I added a twist to it that made it my own, and that is the [SHRIMP GARLIC CHILI OIL].

 

Because my Grandma was born in Hunan and grown up in Shanghai, China. Our home-cooked food always has that Shanghai flavour. It doesn't matter if it's dumplings, or ricecakes, or Shanghai soup noodles, every kind of dish is perfect with this sauce, that flavour probably is the best thing in the world. Smthsmth, chili oil and sesame oil, this particular combination, this particular flavour, is REALLY "SHANGHAI".

Chiu Chow, Shang Hai, Chiu Chow, Shang Hai. Life is exactly like this, creating and holding on to new memories everytime you do something new. This is the 'Process of Life'.
